forgetful

When I was shampoo-ing, I remembered that I forgot to visit the hairdresser – *gasp* And I think I’ve a parade tomorrow!
It has been a long week. The prep for the upcoming exercise is slowly gaining momentum and stress could be seen on everyone’s faces in the camp. Goodness gracious, these 2 wks could be the worst times of my army since BMT. Praying for God’s grace grace and grace!

The camera team did a dry run yesterday and boy it was good. I’m impressed Service was great today. Pst Daniel preached well today.

Teaching Award application is out! Boy, so many things to do yet so little time 救我！

I’ll be back in 2 weeks.till then.. Haha!

Time to go back to camp.. Ah, my hair.. ok.. let tomorrow worry for itself

2400 meters

You know when you Thiery Henry plays against Man Utd, you’ll know that Arsenal is in safe hands! And I guessed the score correctly, 2-1 to Arsenal! Boss told me to avoid Sergeant Major today – because he’s a true Red Devil. Haha! Boss and I were gloating over Chelsea’s and Man Utd’s losses. Brilliant

Boss decided to give half day off! woohoo! And I went to vivo, his secretary kinda forced me to accompany her for lunch there. bahh, so I decided to pop by marks and spencer to get some cookies and chocolate eclairs. yummy!

I was running along West Coast Park and an Norwegian running with a stroller with his toddler ran alongside me, and we began chatting. He shared how tickled he and his friends were when they saw the 2400 meters markings along the park as  they were wondering what was so special about the 2400meter mark – so I explained! Haha! His toddler were apparently enjoying the bumps and potholes and the wind – he fell asleep in the stroller! Adorable

I decided to take a detour from my usual jogging route, so I ran up Kent Ridge after the 3km at West Coast Park. And I had to walk behind a shopping center to get home.

There is something very close to my heart which I guess most people know – teaching. Along the way home, I saw youths in that familiar white and brown uniform. I stopped, stared as a couple of them were doing some illegal. I didn’t like it. I love that school – really, I’ve taught in that school before.

Someone called me from that crowd – my ex student. She wasn’t doing anything illegal though – she’s still that lovely girl I knew 2 years back. I was glad that she didn’t knew the bad boys. Did some catch up. Yeah. I have second thoughts about reporting the boys who were doing their illegal stuff. God spoke to me at that time. Truth is, I’m more broken than cheesed off by their behavior

You know I can’t wait till my first duty with my new TV team. They are just amazing people – I know it! Faye, our team leader, invited us to her place for dinner. Very lovely and cosy home! oh! I so wanna stay there! haha!

Cant wait for that military exercise to be over, only then I’ll be free!

I know God’s grace is enough! woohoo! : )

wild wild wet

Sleeping for 12 hours is the best thing to do after a long night out in the field and cramping into the seat of the lightstrike vehicle. Almost a year ago, I exclaimed – wa! that vehicle is so cool! Now I know, sitting in that lightstrike vehicle is worse than squeezing in a non air con public bus with aunties carrying their weekly groceries. Yes it’s cool and you get all the civillians staring at you while you are on the road, why? Because you look scary with that camo cream on : P

I love my treo, it blinks to tell you if you’ve missed calls/messages! A deluge of messages and 2 missed calls after sleeping from 5pm-4.55am. Sleep early wake up early. Haha!

And my office is in a hugeeeeeeeee mess. Tuesday evening – Boss told us to pack up and go after his chat with CO in the office and it was raining cats and dogs. Then 5 minutes after boss left, the water pipe burst- big time. Everything was wet wet wet – not the pop band.. And Ms Lim ran into boss’ office -.- while I saved my field pack first instead of her computer I ran to S4 branch to get help. Warrant Yip saw my bewildered look and they all rushed over to help..

HQ CSM: – kenneth.. 把洞 盖着。。很容易的。。
me: encik, 你 try la.. water pressure 很大。。
HQ CSM: 来啦。。 我 来..
1 min later..
HQ CSM: kenneth, 来帮。。water pressure 很大！！ 来帮。。来帮。。
me: encik先在你懂 很大。。
me: walks away..

Pardon my chinese.. Haha.. it’s 半桶水

Hahaha! But I got a pillow to let him cover the pipe.. Hahaha!

The carpet stinks now, office is in a mess. The contractors came over to assess damage and clear the mess. Boss said, Kenneth I still can work..Good enough. Haha! Staff Conference next week and jialat, cannot print stuff hoho!!

And therefore, I went late for the meeting in church! And i took a cab down – 8 dollars! The cabby was nice – that’s the only consolation – found out that he is a christian attending Lighthouse

Yup, and Im placed in charge of the photography team in Generations : ) : ) I know I’ve a great team! Just need to train them! : ) woohoo! : )

And oh, I’m hungry! : ) Time for breakfast.

PS: I shall stop being complacent about entering NIE. Really. I should be relying on God’s grace!
