dover road market
December 5, 2006
Met up with Sean today for a late lunch at Dover Road Market. If you do not know where it is, it’s just in front of Fairfield Methodist Secondary School. Accessible by buses 14,166,74,196,33
I set off from Clementi Interchange, and what a change it has gone through.

Sadly Clementi Town is shifting too..

Back to the topic, I’ve been eating at Dover Rd since I was in primary school. The stalls there have been around for years. And the standard has been maintained, thankfully :p
So we ordered the standard fare that a fairsian should take -
Char kuay teow

Chicken Rice and Sugar Cane juice plus lemon

The char kuay teow costs only 2 bucks with cockles and the standard things you have inside. One cannot complain for the money you are forking out, but the char kuay teow was good – only when it’s hot. So gobble it up once it arrives! Best part of all, it’s not really that oily. My rating – 3.5/5 stars.
The chicken rice’s standard has dropped a little. $3.50 for a standard plate with century egg which was yummy. The skin was yummylicious
My rating, 3.5/5. The one at Katong tastes better.
The sugar cane juice was fine. No rating for this as all sugar cane juices taste very similar. Haha! But the cup they used last time was huger!
But maybe the wind spoilt the meal, but it definitely made the place very ventilated
I still miss those days when I was still wearing blue and yellow and having lunch there with friends. oh..those days. I’ll be back there very soon for the prawn noodles! ahaha!
