Pardon me for the hiatus – almost totally forgotten that this place existed till ming told me and a message came ringing in today – a surprise because I thought Cheng Hock messaged me straight after I boarded the bus and I stoned in bus 165 – blame the rainy weather and overcast clouds

The past week has been good – raining non stop and I was glad that the clouds paused their activity for a good session outdoors. Took a couple of helicopter rides on the CH-47 and Super Puma, and it feels like a joyride A really good experience. And the countdown to the end of the week was hilarious. Haha!

Christmas! Christmas at Katong was great. I love the carolling – simply amazing to video them. Went to Deb’s house for a mini 4E gathering on Christmas eve. Casey is back, saw aaron for the first time since we saw each other at the SAF Ferry Terminal last year. Amazing time together. Had dinner with Deb’s family and it’s great where we read the Bible and said grace before dinner.

Jesus is the reason we celebrate Christmas. And because He lives, I can face tomorrow.

On Christmas day was filming for a Generations video. We got the church van, people and everything ready. I was the camera man. Thrilling! From Marine Parade to Parkway to church. From overhead bridges to shots through the sunroof of the van while on the move. Vincent covered photography. Brilliant. Cant wait for the video. Will post pictures of the production soon. Lunched with the geners at parkway and I went home to SLEEP! PERFECT when the weather is like – cool! HAHA

During service on Sunday, pastor yang asked those who thought 2006 was a bad year for them to raise their hands so that he will pray for us, I did. Perhaps one of the most trying year ever.

2006, the year..

1. my big twenty one came
2. I did my first NDP
3. God gave me a huge test of my christian faith
4. where changes aplenty
5. I took my first helicopter ride
6. wore green for most days
7. I remembered His grace
8. I changed to my second smartphone
9. I attended my first church youth camp as a camper
10. I learnt the guitar
11. I almost got tired of waiting..

And the above are not in order of importance. NDP was fun despite the crazy schedule. The time when I got frustrated when I couldnt attend cell. I did loads of things this year, but I can’t wait till 2007 – really. 2007 here I come.. that step of faith..

Now, that thing still aint BLINKING! haha.

I was away for youth camp that lasted over last weekend. The camp wasn’t exceptional but the camp com’s effort was awesome. We had 3 photogs to cover the whole event – brilliant. I did the most of it for last yr’s camp and almost got burnt out. thank God for vincent & yaosheng   photos will be up soon.
It’s a strange feeling to be back in camp nowadays. I haven’t been back much because of the days of rest breaks I’ve to clear.  The 8km route march or rather 10km was rather crazy – not because of the distance but we had to do it in the 11 odd  sun towards the last 3km.

And I aint sure if I am applying for the MOE local scholarship.. As far as I’m thinking of ORD-ing, I haven’t got concrete plans till the application to NIE is sucessful.  faith faith faith! :”(

Though this blog has not been updated in ages, it spoke into my life. It is the diary of this guy - an ex-teacher now, married with 3 children, sharing about his last year as a teacher. I love the way he motivates through verses in the Bible and he talks about his callings that God has shown him. What an inspiration. A true blessing.
